Mrs. Deborah “Debbie” Spencer, age 58, of Kincaid went to be with the Lord at 8:25 p.m. Friday April 8, 2011 at her home.

   Debbie was born April 30, 1952, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of J.P. and Lula Mae Peterson Walker. 

   She married Harry Spencer on June 28, 1996 in Springfield.  She worked as a Tax Examiner for the State of Illinois.  She had also been a chef at Chi Chi’s restaurant in Springfield.  She has been a foster parent since 2001.  She was a member of the Midland United Methodist Church in Kincaid.

   Surviving are her husband Harry; children, Walter Lofton Jr. of Springfield, Chadwick (wife Melissa) Lofton of Indiana, Pamela (husband Benny) Wright of Indiana, Valerie (husband Jonathon) Anderson of Springfield, Robin Lofton of Springfield, Chadwick Spencer of Kincaid, Jaynia Spencer of Kincaid, LaShawn Spencer of Kincaid, Jashud Spencer of Kincaid; 24 grandchildren including Keyana Palmer of Kincaid; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Walker of Chicago; sisters, Ellamae (husband Marvin) Brown of Georgia, Christine Walker of Chicago, Patricia Bell of Chicago, Irene Walker of Chicago and Luevenia Walker of Chicago.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jacqueline Burns and sister, Ruby Walker.

   A celebration of life was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Midland United Methodist Church in Kincaid.  Pastor Linda Vonck officiated.  Cremation rites were accorded following the services. 

Visitation was from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 12, 2011 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid. Funeral services were held the following day at Midland United Methodist Church, Kincaid.  Pastor Linda Vonck officiated.
