Mrs. Theresa J. “Granny” Lancaster, 79 of Jeisyville, IL., passed away at 3:55 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
She was born June 9, 1932 in Jeisyville, IL., the daughter of Clemente Victor and Anna (Vota) Faoro.
Theresa married Don D. Lancaster on December 15, 1949 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death May 11, 1997.
Mrs. Lancaster was a home maker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great friend. She was a member and Past-President of American Legion Post 905 Auxiliary in Kincaid, IL. “Granny” was also a member of The Red Hat Society.
Surviving are 3 daughters Donna Baker of Kincaid, IL., Cathy and Kent Rule of Jeisyville, IL., Lucia and Joseph Pellinghelli of Kincaid, IL., one son Pren “Pete” and Dena Lancaster of Kincaid, IL., a sister Catherine Johnson of Rochester, IL., 6 grandchildren Jim Baker, Terri Oller, Kelly Mulvaney, Josh Mulvaney, Joel Pellinghelli, Paige Pellinghelli along with 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Louise Pop.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, in Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL. Visitation was held there from 9 to 11 AM Friday. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery near Edinburg, IL. Memorials may still be made to the South Fork Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 258, Kincaid, IL. 62540 in momory of Theresa "Granny" Lancaster.
