Mrs. Linda Kay O’Dell, 63 of Kincaid, IL passed away peacefully at home near her family at 3:29 am Saturday, November 24, 2012.
She was born in Taylorville, IL February 4, 1949 the daughter of James and Pauline (Everett) Banfield.
Linda married Michael Wayne O’Dell June 29, 1973 in the Nazarene Church in Kincaid, IL.
Mrs. O’Dell was a member of Kincaid Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing computer Solitaire and Fish H2O on Facebook, attending auctions, singing karaoke and taking long rides in the car
Surviving are her husband Michael O’Dell of Kincaid, IL 3 sons Michael and Tricia Gaynor of Crescent City, FL Shayne and Nonda O’Dell of Kincaid, IL Travis O’Dell and Brandon Wilson of Kincaid, IL a daughter Danette and Shane Newlin of Taylorville, IL grandchildren Chad Gaynor, Shannon Gaynor, Chelsea Gaynor of FL Chad Johnson and Shawnee O’Dell of Kincaid, IL Angelica O’Dell, Matthew Cody, Alexis Newlin, Kylie Newlin, Brittany Newlin all of Taylorville, great-grandchildren Addison O’Dell, Logan Good, Rylee Smith, 2 sisters Delores Hay of Kincaid, IL Marilyn Steele of Taylorville, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, 2 brothers Andy Corpin and James Banfield and 2 sisters Patricia Daugherty and Rita Barrish preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 am November 28, 2012 at the Kincaid Church of God. Pastor Michael Mayberry officiated. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery; Taylorville, IL Visitation was held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid.
