Gloria (Menossi) Foster

Mrs. Gloria Foster, 100, of Tovey, IL passed from this life at 10:45 P.M. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Taylorville Care Center.

She was born in Tovey, IL on Wednesday, April 8, 1925, the daughter of Victorio and Elsia (Bonetti) Menossi.  Gloria married Earl H. Foster on September 11, 1943, in St. Charles, MO.  Earl preceded her in death November 22, 2001.

Mrs. Foster was a passionate faithful member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid and also regularly attended the First Baptist Church of Morrisonville, IL.  She worked as a beautician and ran a beauty salon out of her house in Tovey for over 65 years.  She was an avid bowler, a great seamstress, enjoyed her flowers, and cooking, loved the St. Louis Cardinals but above all else, she truly cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends.

Surviving are: 2 sons Thomas Foster and his companion Angie Graham of Tovey, IL John Foster of Taylorville, IL former daughter-in-law Deb Foster and her companion Greg Mays of Taylorville, IL 4 grandchildren Rev. Chad and his wife Jenny Foster of Palmer, IL Shaun Foster and his wife Monica Schleyhahn of Kincaid, IL Heather Foster of Taylorville, IL Meagan and her husband Charlie Burney of Tovey, IL great grandchildren Seth and his wife Carley Foster, Gabby Foster, Sophie Foster, Emily Burney, Bristol Burney, Ryan Miller, Jr. and his companion Shaunee, Tyler Foster, Kaylee and her husband Shiloh Witt, Caitlyn Foster, Carley Leonard, Amber Mays and Laurel Pridgen along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, grandson Scotty Foster, brother Orlando “Lompo” Menossi, and 2 sisters Prissila “Rose” Roberts and Adeline Cook.

Memorial Visitation for Mrs. Gloria Foster will be held from 9 to 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid.  Funeral services will follow with Rev. Chad Foster officiating.  Burial will then take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.  Memorial’s in memory of Mrs. Foster are suggested to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children – 4400 Clayton Ave. St. Louis, MO. 63110
